So we built Faraway.
Faraway started in 2025 in a small apartment in Gràcia, Barcelona. We were a group of expats and locals who kept seeing incredible flight deals on Reddit and social media—but they were always from JFK, LAX, or London Heathrow. Never from our home airport.
We'd watch friends in the US book €200 round trips to Tokyo while we were stuck paying €900 for the same route from El Prat. The deals existed from BCN too—airlines make the same pricing mistakes everywhere—but nobody was looking for them.
So we built an engine that checks millions of flight prices from Barcelona every single day across multiple APIs. When a price drops below the 10th percentile of its 90-day history, or falls 30%+ below average, we flag it and send it to our members.
Today, over 10,000 Barcelona locals use Faraway to travel more and spend less. We've helped our members save an estimated €3.4 million on flights in the last year alone.
You shouldn't need to be wealthy to see the world. Cheap flights exist every day—most people just don't know about them in time.
We don't send "deals" based on gut feeling. Our algorithm uses statistical analysis against historical pricing data to verify every deal is genuinely exceptional.
We never sell tickets. You always book directly with the airline. We're an alert service, not a travel agency.
We focus exclusively on Barcelona because depth beats breadth when you're hunting for deals.
